Questions in, answers out, in plain English
Cara's text chat lives in the app sidebar. Ask about your own money the way you would ask a person, and the answer is computed from your data, not guessed.
On Plus and Pro she can also do things for you: add a transaction, create a budget line, set up a savings goal. She always shows you what she is about to do and waits for your confirmation before saving.
The panel says it plainly: your AI chats are private, we never save them, and the conversation clears when you sign out.

The same assistant, hands free
Tap the microphone and speak. Cara reads your numbers back to you out loud, answers follow-up questions in conversation, and moves you around the app when you ask.
She can set up transactions, budgets and goals by voice too, again with confirmation before anything saves. Both entry points, Talk with Cara and Ask Cara, sit in the sidebar and can be turned on or off per user in Account Settings.

A plain-English read on your week
Every week ClearBalance writes you a short read on how your money went: wins, things worth watching, and a momentum read on whether you are trending better or worse. One insight is promoted as Cara's Pick.
Every card has Show the maths, which opens the exact calculation behind the claim. The numbers are computed in code; the AI only chooses which ones matter and writes them up. Nothing is estimated by the AI. And with Read it to me, the week's summary plays in Cara's voice.
Everyone gets weekly insights. Free sees a shorter set, Plus and Pro see the full set with the underlying signals.

From insight to action, on the record
On Pro, an insight or a what-if result can be applied straight to your budget. Choose whether it starts this period, next period or a specific month, and undo it later if you change your mind. Every application is recorded so you can see what changed and when.

Money you can hear
If reading a screen full of numbers is hard, whether that is low vision, blindness, dyslexia, fatigue or simply being on the move, Cara gives you another way in.
- Ask for your balance out loud and hear the answer, rather than hunting for it on a dashboard.
- Read it to me plays your weekly insights aloud, so the summary of your week is something you can listen to.
- Navigate by voice: ask Cara to take you to budgets, to transactions, to your goals.
- Enter things by voice: adding a transaction or a budget line does not require typing, and she confirms out loud before anything is saved.
- The whole app ships in light and dark, and the type and colour system is consistent across every screen.
We are not claiming a certified accessibility standard. What we can say is that everything Cara does by voice is something you would otherwise have to read and tap, and we would like to hear from anyone who finds a gap. Email support@clearsuite.ai.

What the AI never does
- AI chats are never stored and are never used for training. They are processed to answer you, then gone.
- The AI only ever sees your ClearBalance data, and only when you ask it something.
- ClearBalance still never connects to your bank.
- Voice is processed by our voice provider (ElevenLabs) to turn speech into text and text into speech.
